Measuring impact 

Strengthening monitoring to drive continuous improvement 

In 2025, as part of the transition of responsibilities from SECO to the Swiss Better Gold (SBG) Association for the ongoing development of SBG as a continuous improvement accreditation programme, we began reviewing and expanding our approach to monitoring our performance and impact of our work. 

As part of this process, we refined and expanded our set of impact indicators, with 2025 serving as the baseline year against which the programme’s impact will be measured going forward. 

As a result, the SBG continuous improvement criteria now have key performance indicators (KPIs) which will enable us to demonstrate the tangible, measurable and comparable impact of SBG on the ground over time.
